Feature Proposal: Citizen JM40M01 Driver Repack & Deployment Module Feature Name: Citizen JM40M01 Driver Repackager Priority: High Target Audience: IT Administrators, System Integrators 1. User Story As an IT Administrator managing a fleet of Citizen JM40M01 label printers, I want to download a pre-configured, "repacked" driver installer that bypasses the standard setup wizard, So that I can silently deploy the driver across multiple workstations via SCCM, Intune, or Group Policy without manual user intervention. 2. Problem Statement The official driver installation package for the Citizen JM40M01 (often a generic Citizen driver package) is bloated and requires a graphical user interface (GUI) to install. It often includes unnecessary utilities or asks for user input (e.g., connection type, default settings) during installation. This makes mass deployment time-consuming and prone to user error. 3. Feature Functionality This feature allows users to download a customized executable (Repack) or generate one via a web interface. A. The "Download Repack" Interface: The download page will not just offer the raw .exe or .zip from the vendor. Instead, it will offer a "Smart Download" feature with the following options:
Extraction Mode:
Standard: Downloads the official vendor installer. Repacked (Recommended): Downloads a utility that strips the vendor installer wrapper and extracts the core driver files ( .inf , .sys , .dll ).
