When she wrote letters to people she’d lost friendship with, the app nudged: “Consider sharing for a limited time.” When she began drafting a novel about a lighthouse keeper who encrypted his map, Ecrypter offered a folder labeled Drafts—encrypted by default, unobtrusive as a bookmark.
