This synthesis creates a paradox for the modern individual: how does one pursue health optimization without falling into the trap of body surveillance? By analyzing the commodification of body positivity, the rise of "holistic wellness," and the psychological implications of intuitive eating and "Health at Every Size" (HAES), this paper argues for a paradigm shift from an aesthetic-based approach to a value-based approach to health.
