Go to openiv.com . Avoid third-party “modded” installers. As of 2026, the latest version is 4.1.0 (or newer). Do use an old version from a mod pack—OpenIV updates regularly to support game patches.

Before any large mod installation:

OpenIV will ask for your game's main directory. Steam: Right-click in your Library > Manage > Browse local files . Epic Games: Go to Library > Three dots next to > Manage > Click the folder icon. openiv setup top
