Do not wait for Gen 3. The Gen 2 units have a hidden trade-in program (not public) where you get 80% credit toward Gen 3 if you register your device via the engineering menu. To register, go to Dev Mode > Loyalty Status > Enter code "EXCLUSIVE2025". This adds an extra year to your warranty.
