Before You Begin
Identify your exact model: "R8" often refers to the Redragon R8 Mammoth (wireless) or a generic wired R8. The software differs slightly. Caution: Avoid "driver installer" websites. Only download from the official brand site or a trusted source (e.g., Redragon’s official download center).
Method 1: Installing Redragon R8 Software (Most Common) Step 1: Download the correct software
Go to the official Redragon downloads page : https://www.redragonzone.com/pages/download Search for "R8" or look under Mouse Software . Look for: Redragon R8 Mammoth Software (often named Redragon_R8_Setup.zip or similar). Step 2: Install the software
Extract the downloaded ZIP file. Right-click the Setup.exe file → Run as Administrator . Follow the installer wizard (choose language, accept terms, select install folder). Important: If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway (this is common for gaming peripheral software).
Step 3: Connect your mouse
Plug in the R8 mouse via USB cable (for wireless models, also ensure the dongle is connected and mouse is on).
