In the drowsy, rain-streaked town of Pixel Heights, an indie game developer named Clara had a problem. Her latest project—a "compatibility version" of Stardew Valley for a defunct 2004 handheld console called the DigiGrove—was finished. But she had no way to distribute it.

You must own the game, and you cannot use Steam Cloud saves reliably between versions.

Open the dropdown and select "compatibility" .

The client will then update your game to the legacy version.
