"The Girl Next Door" begins with Matthew Kidman, a straight-laced high school student, who lives with his parents, Walter (James Remar) and Mrs. Kidman (Sandra Ellis Lafferty). Matthew's life takes an unexpected turn when his parents take in Danielle, a young woman who has just moved in next door. As Matthew gets to know Danielle, he discovers that she is charming, beautiful, and kind. However, Matthew also learns that Danielle is hiding a secret: she is a former adult film star trying to start a new life.
