Yamaha Car1 Service Manual Better Install [new] ⇒
The Yamaha Car1 uses a castle nut on the rear axle. The manual specifies torque to be 90 Nm then back off 1/4 turn to align the cotter pin. If you just crank it to 150 Nm like a car axle, you’ll collapse the bearing spacer and destroy the axle seals.
| Bolt location | Torque (ft-lbs) | |---------------------|----------------| | Wheel lug nuts | 65–70 | | Engine mount bolts | 25–30 | | Clutch retaining bolt| 45–50 (dry) | | Axle castle nut | 90–100 | yamaha car1 service manual better install
