: Most "cheap" cables use Firmware 1.4.1. While cheaper, they can be slower and occasionally fail to connect to newer CAN-bus systems. Firmware 2.0.4 is more stable for modern cars.

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toyota Diagnostics\MVCI or C:\MVCI . Open MVCI.ini in Notepad as Administrator. Find the section [DEVICE] . Modify it to match your COM port: mini vci j2534 drivers
